Mwalimu Sacco Goes Green with Solar Technology

Mwalimu Sacco has partnered with Startimes Media to promote the adoption of solar energy solutions among its members.

The collaboration aims to provide Mwalimu National Sacco members with financing options for purchasing solar systems, making renewable energy more accessible to teachers and their communities.

During the announcement event held at Mwalimu Tower in Upper Hill, Nairobi, Startimes Director of Solar, Sam Deng, underscored the importance of this partnership.

He stated that it marks a significant milestone in Startimes’ commitment to diversifying into green energy solutions.

Mr. Deng highlighted the long-term advantages of embracing solar energy, both for individuals and the environment.

He noted that adopting solar power not only reduces energy costs but also plays a vital role in sustainability efforts by lowering the carbon footprint in Kenya.

“This partnership represents a pivotal step in revolutionizing green energy solutions in our country. By enabling educators to invest in solar technology, we are promoting renewable energy while empowering them financially,” Deng remarked.

Joel Gachari, National Chairman of Mwalimu Sacco, echoed these sentiments, expressing optimism about the positive impact this initiative will have on the Sacco’s members.

“Access to solar energy is crucial, especially for our members living in regions where grid electricity is limited. This initiative will provide them with an affordable alternative, significantly improving their quality of life,” Gachari stated.

He also pointed out that the partnership comes at a critical time when the demand for renewable energy solutions in Kenya is on the rise, fueled by increasing energy costs and the urgent need to address climate change.
