This Week in Astronomy with Dave Eicher

This week, look for the Moon and Saturn to meet in the late evening sky.

On Tuesday, August 20, you can catch a great conjunction of the Moon and Saturn. The ringed planet will be separated from a nearly Full Moon by less than half a degree. The objects will fit nicely in binoculars or a low-power telescopic field, and will also provide a great opportunity for astrophotographers.
